Customers Testimonials
firstly to Sam for organising and booking Jade’s first SCUBA experience and to Mark Jade’s instructor.
Sam really couldn’t have been more helpful as I struggled to organise a date that would be suitable to a family with a busy weekend calendar. She was also very pleasant and encouraging on each occasion that we were in contact both on the telephone and in person.
As for Mark; well in my opinion he is a truly outstanding instructor. Mark led Jade through her first dive experience in a way that she really could not fail to enjoy. Most importantly he ensured her safety and well being at all times. He also allowed her to progress as quickly as her ability allowed. My wife and I both have experience of diving instructors previously, many of whom were very good, however, Mark really stands out as a very special instructor. His love for the sport and enthusiasm to share his experience with others in order to facilitate their enjoyment and progress was clear to see. I have previously worked as a professional instructor in other pursuits (not SCUBA) and feel that I am fairly well placed to recognise this mans abilities.
Having said all this you will not be surprised to hear that our daughter would like to further her diving experience and we are happy for her to do so. I will be in touch soon in order to make a booking for Seal Mission 2 (if at all possible with Mark). Best regards. David. April 2008
a few lines to say how enjoyable the Pool yesterday at Combe Bank School, as you are aware I have enrolled in the Dry Suit course and found the Instructor called Stan very helpful and easy to work with, credit to him and the rest of the staff on call from Dive Machine, Nick Brasier April 2008 in being so helpful and responsive to my question in venturing into the realms of diving in the UK, as I happens that I am now booked up to carry on my diving career with a Dry suit course. Once again well done and keep up the good work. Regards

We both started with a try dive as neither of us are strong swimmers so weren't sure if diving was going to be possible. In the first 5 minutes of being in the pool I simply wanted to get out however, Rob, our instructor, was fantastic, his approach was perfect and I am so grateful to him for giving us a great insight into diving. I soon settled and by the end of the hour we were 100% sure that we wanted to do more. If you are unsure about scuba I can 100% recommend a try dive, even if you are not strong swimmers or don't even like getting your head under the water. By the end I am sure you will be hooked. We have now just completed our Open water referral course with Dive Machine with Sam who has the same professional manor and makes you feel at ease under her instruction in the water, especially as we were never left unsupervised in the water, which is perfect for this course as we are beginners. We can not hesitate to recommend this friendly family run business to anyone who is interested in starting or developing their diving experience. Naomi and Phil Jan 2008
I try-dived with Dive Machine, and had a such a great time that I went on to do the confined water with them a couple of weeks later. Steve Phibbs was our instructor, and with the assisting divemasters, my group of five were well looked after, and I finished with much confidence and enthusiasm. I went on to complete my open water in Sharm, using a dive centre recommended by Rob. I had an amazing time; the world and life underwater is breathtaking. Again I had a great instructor - I was well trained, and well briefed for my first series of drift dives. Having now completed my enriched air, I am now booking my advanced open water - and can't wait to get back in the water.
Thanks to all Chrissy Blythin, Oxted. October 2007.
. Special thanks to Steve for a well organised and well conducted course. We both thoroughly enjoyed it. ( a little bit achey today though) It was a pleasure to be instructed by someone so passionate about what he does, its a credit. (not forgetting the rest of the team of course, but Steve in particular) I know what its like to be up there presenting these things as my job is working for JTL as a training officer for electrical apprentices', and in my spare time I am a coach, and coach educator.

I went to stoney to complete my advanced open water course so was there to do a deep dive, The thought of doing a DEEP dive had me a bit worried, but with the reasurrance and professional attidude of the dive machine gang it was diluted. After the deep and wreck dive i came away thrilled and wanting to go back for more. A very friendly dive club/shop with staff that will help you on every way they can. Thanks again,
Scott Baker Advanced Open Water Diver - May 2007 whilst doing our Open Water course.

and Richard was a brilliant instructor.
I'm sure Steve took the course in his stride but I was quite nervous, especially about the search and rescue scenarios I knew we'd have to do. When we did our first pool exercise and Bob had to approach Richard who was being a 'panicked diver' I thought that I was going to end up a panicked diver myself as I saw Bob disappearing under the water amongst Richard's flailing arms. It was a very good first lesson, and as we started to learn the different techniques to approach and control emergency situations my confidence grew and I really began to appreciate just how good a course it is, and how good an instructor Richard is. Also we got to know Bob and Tim and they were extremely nice buddies. This really is a nice sport to be involved in.
Thanks guys
BIG hugs

I have learned loads whilst having a great time due to the team you have. They are a real credit to the company. I will speak to you soon to book up the advanced course, but in the mean time could you thank the staff for me please?
Kind regards.

The extreme diving at the beginning of the week with the 5 a.m. starts, snorkeling with wild dolphins and the awesome encounter with the Oceanic White Tip was nicely complimented by the relaxed and chilled out last few days at Marsa Shagra. We felt like we'd had a two week holiday instead of just the one. We are looking forward to our next trip with you!

Suzanne and I were on the recent 1-8/10/05 Red Sea trip and can I say what a fantastic time we had. Having only recently gained our Open Water qualification here in the UK we signed up for doing our Advanced Open Water training while on the trip. The training dives and support were excellent – the Dive Machine staff were always willing to answer any questions and assist whenever we asked. Also there was never a feeling of ‘its AOW time again’ – the training, reviews etc just seemed to fit in with the week’s activities. My only recommendation would be to complete all the knowledge reviews before the trip!We also completed our EAN speciality on the trip and in fact did all our dives on 32% Nitrox. In hind sight it wasn’t really necessary for us to have dived on Nitrox as our dive times were governed primarily by how long our air lasted rather than how long we could spend on the dives. The crew on MY Juliet were excellent – they were always pleasant and helpful and the RIBs were always there when you wanted them! There was always someone there to help you get your dive gear on or off and the food was excellent. On a couple of nights there were problems with the cabin air-conditioning but overall things were excellent. As new divers the dive sites were all fascinating and there was a good mix of wrecks and reefs. Rob Hunt, the dive master on the boat, was excellent – amusing and laid-back yet professional at the same time. His dive briefings were easy to understand and no novice diver question was deemed silly. The highlight of the trip for me was the night dive on The Barge at Big Gabal – fantastic visibility on a compact wreck with great fish life including two enormous Moray eels. The low point of the trip was my underwater camera case leaking the first time I took it with me – never mind! Its currently with Fuji – fingers crossed they agree its faulty! We can’t wait to go again next year – the southern part of the Red Sea sounds attractive! John and Suzanne P Kent UK
and we can honestly say that it could not have been better. Thank you Dive Machine for making the whole experience so enjoyable. The pre-holiday briefing & curry evening was a great idea, where we got to know the other divers booked on the trip before the holiday. Having Rob to chaparone us all through the check-in at Gatwick and on the other side at Sharm airport was such a relief (I'm sure we would have all ended up on the wrong flight and lost our baggage otherwise). MY Juliet was fabulous; the crew were so helpful and the food was really superb!. The crew clearly enjoy having Dive Machine groups on board and there soon developed a real party atmosphere. We were sad to have to walk away at the end of the week. The diving was fantastic and with our Dive Machine instructors so knowledgeable on all the sites, in addition to the boat's own dive guide, we felt in very safe hands as novice Red Sea divers. We even completed two PADI Specialities too! We do thoroughly recommend this holiday to everyone, whatever level of scuba diving experience you may have. We have already decided to go again next year,so maybe we'll see you there !Thanks again Dive Machine, Steve and Barbara Bull Kent UK
I found the course to be very useful and easy to follow, supported by fantastic instructors which i would like to thank so very much for all there help and guidance especially to Rebecca who took us through are first confined dives and our first open water dive.
Also Ashley who took us through our second open water dive, I found them both to be extremely helpful, patient and professional and hope that they get recognised for this as a result of this e-mail.
Once again i would like to thank all the team at Dive Machine for all there help and for such a wonderful unforgettable experience and i look forward to continuing and expanding my training throughout the near future.

We both came back totally relaxed which lasted right up to shopping at Asda's. There is not one thing that could have improved the trip, the boat, the crew, guests and diving sites were all great and we will definately look to go on another trip very soon. Ree & Matt .
kent UK - friday,
As always the organisation of the trip, the diving, and the excellent service provided by the ship's crew together with Mohammed our 'eagle eyed' guide made it another memorable holiday. An encounter with a leopard shark on one of the first dives and over 15 minutes swimming with a dolphin on one of the last dives - it doesn't get better than that. Not one complaint apart from the tingling nasel passages aften the Vodka snorts on the last night - but there again that was self inflicted!
Roll on next year
