EFR First Aid at Work Designated Person Course (3 day)

Candidates must be physically able to carry out the first aid procedures as detailed in the course outline and must attend all the sessions to become eligible for assessment.
Prior to course commencement you will receive a training manual to read through.
This course is for employees who require an Designated Person for first aid in the workplace.
This course does not qualify the candidate to be an HSE approved first aider. Please see EFR First aid at Work Course for approved course.
Previously was known as the 4 day First Aid at Work course. (now just 3 days are required)

- provide emergency first aid at work safely, promptly and effectively
- understand the role of the first aider, including reference to:
- the importance of preventing cross infection?
- the need for recording incidents and actions?
- use of available equipment?
- recognise the presence of major illness and provide first aid including:
- cardio pulmonary resuscitation, heart attack, stroke, epilepsy, asthma and diabetes
- administer first aid to a casualty with: injuries to bones, muscles & joints, including suspected spinal injuries, chest injuries, burns & scalds, eye injuries, sudden poisoning, anaphylactic shock
- administer first aid to a casualty who is: unconscious (including seizure) choking, wounded and bleeding, suffering from shock
- provide appropriate first aid for minor injuries.
You will receive a First Aid for Designated Persons(FAAW) Certificate that will be valid for 3 years.
This course takes 3 day to complete.
