EFR First Aid at Work Appointed Person Course

Candidates must be physically able to carry out the first aid procedures as detailed in the course outline and must attend all the sessions to become eligible for assessment.
Prior to course commencement you will receive a training manual to read through.
This course is for employees who require an Appointed Person for first aid in the workplace.
This course does not qualify the candidate to be an HSE approved first aider. Please see EFR First aid at Work Course for approved course.

- Aims of first aid
- The Role and responsibility as a first aider
- Management of a first aid incidents
- Primary survey (dealing with care of a conscious and unconscious casualty)
- Placing casualty in the Recovery position
- Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
- Secondary survey
- Monitoring the casualty's condition
- Course overview & review
You will receive a First Aid for Appointed Persons(FAAP) Certificate that will be valid for 3 years.
This course takes 1/2 day to complete.
