EFR Emergency First Responder (Secondary Care)

Why take this course?

During this Emergency First Response Secondary Care course you will further develop your knowledge and skills in injuries and illnesses that are not immediately life threatening. You will become more comfortable in many of the other day to day incidents that can occur at home, work or whilst out and about.

Who can take this course?

Anyone of any age who wishes to learn the secondary steps in First Aid and has completed the Emergency First Responder Primary Care Course.

How long does it take?

Half a day.
Pleae note that this couse usually follows immediately after the morning session of Primary Care. Therefore both courses can be completed all in one day.

What's involved ?

Again this course focuses on secondary care through knowledge and skill development sessions and realistic scenarios. This practice ensures that participants have the ability and confidence to provide basic care when an emergency situation arises.
You will cover:
Injury Assessment
Illness Assessment
Bandaging
Splinting for Dislocations and Fractures

You will also be referencing the following:-
Allergic Reactions, Bruises, Burns, Chemical Burns, CPR, Choking, Cuts, Diabetic Problems, Fractures & Dislocations, Electrical shock, Eye Injuries, Frostbite, Heat Exhaustion, Heatstroke, Heart Attack, Hypothermia, Stings & Bites, Poisoning, Epileptic Seizures, Sprains and Strains, Stroke,

Includes the EFR Primary Care Certification Identity Card.

Are there any Extra~Hidden Costs?

You should already have a copy of the Emergency First Responder Student Manual. If not one can be purchased from Dive Machine.
You should also have a copy of the Emergency First Responder Student DVD showing each of the skills for the course. If not one can be purchased from Dive Machine.
