Why take this course?

This course is suitable for anyone wishing to know how to provide emergency care to Children.

Who can take this course?

Anyone who has already completed an Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary Care course. This can be completed as a combined course with the Primary, Secondary Care and Care for Children course all together.

How long does it take?

Half a day.

What's involved ?

You will cover as a lay person the same priorities of care used by medical professionals and includes.
Priorities and procedures for dealing with infants and children and how these differ compared to dealing with adults.
Primary & Secondary Care skills of infants and children
What to do when emergency medical aid is delayed or unavailable.
NOTE: The content of this course is based on guidelines from the Paediatric Working Group of ILCOR.

You will also receive a full colour illustrated EFR Student Manual and a Student EFR DVD showing all the skills &
also includes the EFR Primary Care Certification Identity Card. Inc. EFR-PIC Registration on completion.
