Diving at Wraysbury Lake
What’s it like at Wraysbury Lake?
Wraysbury Lake is London’s premier inland dive site, it is very conveniently situated between junctions 13 and 14 of the M25, close to the M3 and M4 motorways. Heathrow Airport is close by. Wraysbury is a 15-acre lake for the only purpose of diving and used by Dive Machine and other schools for their scuba training. It also makes an ideal inland site when sea conditions do not permit diving.
Wraysbury is a very well controlled site and has a great bunch of staff on hand that makes the whole experience of diving here very friendly and welcome. Richard, Arthur or Chris (Wraysbury Staff) are very helpful.
There are many platforms to carry out dive skills also other attractions like: Thorpe Park Rangers, cars, boats, slot machine, statue, American cab. The fish life is amazing they have large mirror and common carp, perch, tench and pike, all of which are very friendly.
Hot tea, coffee, chocolate and other drinks are available from the hatch including superb sandwiches with sausages, bacon, eggs etc…. all at a very reasonable price. Great on those cold winter days. There are tables and chairs to sit comfortably through the day. In inclement weather you can get inside and sit comfortably to eat or complete your log sheets for the dives completed.
There is even a bar so after diving why not sit down and have a beer to celebrate a good dive. (Remember no drinking and diving, or driving!)
Wraysbury is open 7 days a week from 9am. Night diving on a Wednesday here till 9pm!
The entrance fee is only £10 per diver!
