PADI Staff Instructor Courses are taught by our Course Director, Robert Varns.
As a knowledgeable Instructor you will learn how to teach the IDC course curriculum and bring along the new enthusiastic PADI Instructors.
Throughout your course you will gain the confidence to teach, assess and develop the latest instructors.
You will need: A Course Director Training Pack, All your own dive equipment and all manuals from the core PADI courses.
Once you have gained the IDCS qualification you will be able to teach:
PADI Assistant Instructor courses.
Assist PADI Course Directors when conducting the PADI Instructor Development Course.
Assist PADI Course Directors when conducting instructor-level continuing education.
The Staff Instructor course takes just 2 days to complete followed by presenting the AI course or attending all parts of an IDC.
Audit an IDC , whenever possible, because candidates observe the organization, communication and preparation for an IDC, then audit all training segments, evaluation and counselling sessions. If instructors can’t audit the entire IDC, they audit missed sections at subsequent IDC’s until completing all IDC curriculum presentations. Course fee’s for option A is £425.
If auditing a complete IDC is not possible, candidates have the option to present all curriculum components from the Assistant Instructor course (listed below) for evaluation. Have other IDC Staff Instructor candidates, IDC Staff Instructors or other instructional staff members play the role of Assistant Instructor candidates. Provide candidates with as much practical experience as possible.
