All training materials are supplied with this EFR Care for Children first aid course.
The “Care for Children” course is suitable for anyone wishing to know how to provide emergency care to Children.
Anyone who has already completed an Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary Care course can take this course.
This can be completed as a combined course with the Primary, Secondary Care and Care for Children course all together.
The Care for Children Course takes half a day to complete.
You will cover the same priorities of care for children as used by medical professionals and includes:
Priorities and procedures for dealing with infants and children and how these differ compared to dealing with adults
Primary & Secondary Care skills of infants and children
What to do when emergency medical aid is delayed or unavailable
Course fee’s inc. Manual, DVD and certification card.
The content of this course is based on guidelines from the UK Paediatric Working Group of ILCOR.
