Another excellent day of diving at Vobster Quay.
It was a bright sunny day with intermottent showers and some great underwater visibility averaging 6-10 metres.
Visited many of the underwater attractions including the sections of the plane, the crushing works and the tunnel.
Tec 45 dives 3& 4 completed in a very satisfactory manner by Tony.
All our pleasure divers diving Vobster for the 1st time said it was an excellent venue and wanted to return again for some more fun dives.
We will be meeting at Buckland lakes on Thursday 29th December 09:45 for them to open at 10:00. We will be there most of the day as they close at 15:00. If you would like to join us or require any equipment on rental then please contact us at the dive center before 24th December. This will allow us to prepare equipment and organize buddy teams for the day.
UK diving visibility doesn’t get much better than this:
It was a beautiful clear crisp evening with a full moon, ideal for the final night dive of the three dive specialty.
It was lovely and quite so we had the lake almost to ourselves. The visibility was a fantastic 7-8 meters and with similar water temperatures.
Our students and pleasure divers witnessed the apex predator of the lake ‘the pike’ indulging in a rather large perch. The perch was of such a size that the pike was having some difficulty swallowing it, due to the dorsal fins on the perch. This did cause some excitement and was a first for a lot of the divers in the group.
Thank you to everyone that came and assisted with the dive last night, your help is always appreciated.
You never know what is going to happen at night and this just goes to show that a frequently dived lake can still behold lots of possibilities and excitement even for well seasoned divers.
This itinerary combines the spectacular drop-offs and big pelagics at Daedalus with the stunning variety of St Johns. This is an amazing opportunity to dive some of the most stunning reefs in the Red Sea.
Dates are 26th May to 2nd June. We now only have 14 Spaces now available for the fabulous trip.
Deposit of £299 will secure your place.

Just returned from a superb week of diving in the Maldives and encountering whalesharks.
Here is just a short clip of our encounter with a Whaleshark on Maamigili Reef which is at the most southern part of the South Ari Atoll.
Here regular sighting of Whalesharks can be found on our regular trips to the Maldives. This beauty joined us at around 20 metres down during a slow drift eastwards along the reef.
This Whaleshark was medium sized at around 10 metres in length and in very good health.
To show how relaxed these beautiful creatures are, this one swam right up to me and for a while was only two metres away.
